Thank you for taking the time to read reviews about hotel Del Mar, and, I apologize for not speaking French.
Regarding the issue with Mr X.A. (Vanauslo), I would like to express our point of view.
As a manager of hotel Del Mar, I try to minimaze mistakes. We love to have happy guests and we work hard on that.
Nevertheless, we are human beings and may something goes wrong suddenly. In this case, we must be very professional and serious with the guest, we must quiqly solve any problem and make the guest happy. With any cost. It’s a rule I always follow.
To be honest, what we did wrong with Mr X.A.?
We received his reservation via Booking.com, we charged the card and we did not pass the reservation in our list.
Why we made this mistake?
The reservation came at the opening (the first day of the new season, on April 24th) and we weren’t absolutely organized. There is no excuse for us and we will work harder to avoid same problems in the future.
Once we realised the problem, how we acted?
We recommend an other hotel nearby (Kapetan Tasos) and the guest accepted our assistance. The same time, we noticed that there are several hotels nearby, in case he doesn’t like Kapetan Tasos. Unfortunately, guest writes that we leaded him to stay in this hotel. We have never leaded none to stay nowhere in our history, we just recommend only when a guest asks for recommedations. By the way, we believe that Kapetan Tasos is a realy nice hotel. We believe the same for Tania rooms and Nefeli rooms.
Once we realised that we have charged by mistake the credit card of the guest, how we acted?
We found guest in a nearby cafe (he didn’t come at the reception), we paid cash the amount amount of 300 EUR, we apollogised for our mistake and we paid his first-night stay in the suite he decided to stay. It was just a gift. It was our way to say “sorry” for any inconvenience.
Regarding Hotel Del Mar…
After a huge renovation took part in this winter, we opened the doors on April 24th and we are pride for our all-new hotel. The only thing we haven’t done yet is to put some flowers in our gardens. There are some constructions nearby but we can take this responsibility. However, since the season starts, all the constructions stop on April 29th.
To finish with, Milos is a beautiful island and I encourage all the guests who haven’t been here before to give a chance You will love it!
